Migraine Treatment - Migraine Auras - a perceptual cornucopia of experience

My Occasional Marketing System

Occasional marketing is the concept I use to drive traffic to my websites at the times when certain events take place. For example, two years ago I tried this concept with the Football World Cup and drove a lot of traffic to my football blog which was monetizing via AdSense and Banners to betting companies.

Let me explain in more detail. A lot of different retailers create special offers according to different events. Just think of Christmas or Easter sales and the ways people do shopping during that time. Many people are after Christmas discounts, Christmas oriented merchandise and gifts. So being prepared for something for an event with your website or videos ranking high in search engines and YouTube can lead to more targeted visitors during that time.

At the moment there is UEFA Euro 2008 taking place and I am running another football blog which monetizes using AdSense and Banners. At the same time I am also building a list of people who are interested in football using aweber list building service.

Today I have uploaded 5 videos of goals using TubeModgul.com and in 1 hour those videos had between 300 and 500 hits each, which is absolutely incredible.

You can check out my blog here - Euro 2008 Highlights and Goals

Its getting between 1000 and 4000 people per day. Real People

So here is what I would advise you to do.

Check your calendar to see when the next event which could be suitable for your business or website is coming up.

I remember those days all too well. The lights from the ceiling fans felt like spotlights shining directly into my eyes. When people talked to me it seemed as if they were screaming in a high pitched tone. The ringing in the ears, the sensitivity to light, the irritability, the vomiting were too much. Most of the time the only real chance of any relief from one of these life altering headaches was to try to sleep it off, but it was no guarantee. Sometimes the pain would last for several days.

I’m talking about migraines. I suffered from migraines for over 10 years. At least once a week I would have one. And if you have never experienced one, the pain and discomfort can’t be described in mere words. People who have never suffered from migraines are often quoted as saying, “It’s just a headache, get over it.” The National Headache Foundation has concluded that 28 million Americans suffer from migraines.

I remember mom taking me to doctor appointments. I also remember her going to the drug store in the middle of the night to pick up some OTC medicine. Gosh, you would have thought I was pregnant. I was on prescription pain pills for migraine relief. The downside of that was they were to be taken to relieve the pain when a migraine had occurred. I would have preferred to prevent the headaches from occurring in the first place. But the medication rarely worked and like most medicines had potential adverse side effects; vomiting, dizziness, sensitivity to light, and headaches. Wait, why am I taking them then?

As I got older I started to take a more proactive approach to my health in all areas. For migraine prevention I would try to cut out trigger foods such as chocolate, caffeine, and dairy. Despite all my efforts, I still had migraine headaches frequently. It was such a terrible time of my life because these super headaches not only affected me physically, but would drain me emotionally. Even when I wasn’t suffering from a migraine the thought of having one frightened me so much that I would keep bottles of OTC pain reliever in my car, in my desk at work, and in both bathrooms at home. I always had one at arm’s length, and would be fast to take one if I even thought my head was starting to hurt. Ironically, the anxiety of worrying about them would at times create a migraine headache.

Aside from the frequent migraines I have always been in great physical condition. The only other health issue I had was stress. I later found out from a doctor that stress was directly linked to my migraines. I remember thinking that if all I had to worry about were migraines I was still very fortunate (but that doesn’t mean that they didn’t hurt!). I was often told to ask my doctor to put me on prescription pain pills for migraines but I had been down that road before and I never liked how the pain medication made me feel. To tell you the truth I had learned to just live with them, thinking I had no other options outside of medicine which I wasn’t willing to rely upon.

Would you like to know how I got rid of my migraines forever?

At 26 I realized I wasn’t feeling like I should. In spite of exercising regularly and trying to eat right, I knew something wasn’t right. I started taking nutritional supplements in hopes that they would supply what my body needed. In truth it was not an overnight success. I shopped around and tried supplements from different stores and different avenues. My initial perception was this is worthless, and it doesn’t work. But I kept going, I don’t know if it was persistence or if I just wasn’t smart enough to know when to give up.

Persistence paid off as I finally found a few dietary supplements that I could actually see a difference. One of the products I was taking was a liquid B-12 supplement. When I first started taking the B-12, I noticed a huge difference in my energy levels, but I never felt hyper or shaky. I was feeling like I should be feeling. That is always a good enough reason to stay with something. One day a good friend of mine asked me what I do to get rid of migraines. She had been suffering from a headache for three straight days. Before I answered her I remember thinking, “Wow it has been a long time!” The last time I remembered having one was shortly after I had started consuming the B-12 supplement. I gave her an extra bottle I had of the B-12 and explained to her that her asking me that made me realize just how long it had been since my last migraine. I advised her I wasn’t sure if this B-12 was the reason but told her that it wouldn’t hurt to try. She took it and within 30 minutes her headache was gone! She now consumes the B-12 daily and she hasn’t had a migraine since.

So after 13 years of suffering from these chronic headaches, I accidentally stumbled on something that stopped them altogether. Funny how life works sometimes, isn’t it?

Migraine Treatment - Immediate Migraine and Headache Relief by joseph_s

Migraine Treatment

A search for migraine and headache relief can be a hard process if you don’t have much information about them. However, there are quite a few different forms of migraine and headache relief out there that you can use. Whether you prefer medicinal migraine and headache relief or natural forms of migraine and headache relief, there are a lot of options that you can try, and choose the one that works best for you.

Forms of Migraine and Headache Relief

Understanding the basics about what a headache actually is, and a migraine headache in particular is the first step towards your migraine and headache relief. A migraine headache is normally caused by hormonal fluctuations which make blood vessels in the head and neck contract and then dilate.

It is basically this dilation that causes the actual headache, and the first phase may last anywhere from minutes to days. When the blood vessels actually dilate the headache pain starts, that is, instead of going from a contracted state back to normal. Other processes also happen at the same time, and this combination of different factors is what can actually cause the interplay of hormones leading to contracted and then over-dilated blood vessels.

It is important to understand that different methods may or may not work for different people, and so what works well for one person may not work at all for you. Consulting a physician is the best way to determine what would be the most appropriate method for you to go with in regards to the treatment of your headaches.

However, there are a few different things that you can do to deliver yourself immediate relief. Note, that these are only temporary relieves, so ultimately you still need to see your doctor so that you both can work out something more long-term.

The methods providing immediate but short-term relief include having a bath or shower; lying down and resting in a dark room; avoiding bright and flashing lights; putting something cold on the back of your neck or your forehead; having a drink of water or natural juice; pressing on two pressure points at the back of your neck; avoiding sources of stress in your life; and taking vitamin supplements.

Why hotdogs give me headaches?

A lot of people asked me why hotdogs and some othe meat products cause migraine headaches. Well the simple reason is that processed meat products are high in sodium nitrate which one of the main migraine food triggers. Stop Migraines With Diet Modifications by Harry B

The research is clear, food intolerance, allergies, and hypersensitivities are key triggers of headaches and migraines. Although each migraine sufferer may react to a different food or group of foods, there are a few which seem to pop up as frequent offenders: dairy, wheat, eggs, soy, corn, citrus, chocolate, coffee, beef, yeast, red wine, and processed foods with additives and preservatives.

To identify these top offenders physicians use a hypoallergenic “elimination” diet, consisting of a selection of foods that are presumably well tolerated. During their studies, patients are told to eat only the “safe” foods outlined on their version of the oligonantigenic diet in an effort to eliminate any symptoms. Once the symptoms have gone into remission, the “high risk” foods are re-introduced into the diet one at a time to assess their potential trigger effect on symptoms. This type of diet should be undertaken with the assistance of a physician, in order to ensure adequate nutritional intake.

In a case study conducted with 60 migraine patients followed an elimination diet after a 5-day withdrawal from their normal diet. Upon reintroduction, specific foods elicited migraine reactions in a significant percentage of patients: wheat (78%), oranges (65%), eggs (45%), tea and coffee (40% each), chocolate and milk (37% each), beef (35%), and corn, cane sugar, and yeast (33% each). When an average of ten common trigger foods was avoided, there was a dramatic decline in the number of headaches per month and 85% of patients actually became headache-free! An added benefit was welcomed by the 25% of these patients who also had hypertension - their blood pressure returned to normal levels.

Migraine Treatment by Harry B

Treatments for migraines range from medications to relaxation techniques, and from consuming healthy food to avoiding certain strenuous lifestyles. It remains a challenge for the medical fraternity, as doctors bounce between one treatment and another. This is largely because the intensity of migraines and their effects remains varied from one individual to another, and no single tailor-made course of action suits individual needs. Ample cases of misdiagnosis of migraine are there and individuals think it to be a psychological disorder. Those presumptions are dangerous since they may lead doctors to prescribe unnecessary, counterproductive, dangerous medications.

It is important for patients to understand their disease and identify their triggers for a successful treatment of migraines. One should also learn behavioral strategies and medications to reduce their problem. Individuals should also keep themselves abreast of the latest information on the disease.

The single most common cause of migraines in individuals is stress. This can be in form of workplace pressures or the pressures that women face as they swing between various household chores. One should try to eliminate stress through working around a stress-relieving program or with the help of a trained medical practitioner.

Learning to avoid control triggers during migraine weather or their menstrual cycle is important. These triggers may include anything like bright light, chemical smells, red wine, hard alcohols, as well as foods such as fish, chocolates, cheese, and foods containing nitrates, and so on. It is advisable that medications be avoided since they may harm your system in the long run.

You need to listen to what others did for tackling migraines whatever be the cause for migraine. Its best if you log your observations over a period of time and adopt a suitable course of actions since each individual are different

Migravent

I had a look at my weblogs and found out that I rank for Migravent. I didnt know myself what Migravent was before this, so I did some research and found out that Migravent is designed utilizing the most effective natural compounds to help prevent migraines. Current research demonstrates that migraines may be related to the body’s overall nutritional state. Clinical studies have shown that the compounds found in Migravent help prevent migraines. Migravent harnesses the power of these multiple natural compounds that attack the mechanisms that lead to migraine attacks. Each bottle of Migravent contains 60 easy to swallow
soft-gel capsules and is formulated using Fast Absorb Technology for maximum product effectiveness. It is recommended to take Migravent for four to six months to reach full efficacy.

I found some customer testimonials as well about Migravent. Here is what they say:

I’m now 56 years old and each atttack is the same. I just want to die and get it over with. The pain sends me to bed, the hot sweats, the chills, the vomiting….it’s anyones worst nightmare. I finally pass out and wake up some 5 to 15 hours later and dont have enough left in me to do anything but rest for at least 24 hours. I have been taking Migravent for 8 months now and it hasnt completely done away with the migraines, but it certainly has reduced the numbers…once a month now, maybe a little less. Thank you from the bottom of our collective hearts for developing this product. I always wondered why medical science never came up with it before now…just figured there weren’t enough of us out there to be bothered with. Thanks again from all of us.”
Dick W. from Parsonsfield, Maine

“I started taking Migravent on August 22nd, 2005. Prior to taking it I suffered from 1 major migraine a day. From Aug 22nd -31st I got only 3 headaches. In the entire month of September I had only 5 headaches! The intensity of those headaches was also reduced. I am hoping that in October I will not receive any headaches.”

Headache Massage

I found a great video on headache massage on YouTube and thought that it would be a great idea to include it on my blog. The video is in Mandarin Chinese but has subtitles. This video basically speaks about the points on human body that are responsible for certain activities. The author refers to them as acupoints. I hope you enjoy this headache massage video and that this massage can help your headache if you have one.
